Company Members

Guy Hirson founded BroadLynx and is the Managing Director.

He is the primary technical lead for the company. Prior to forming BroadLynx, Guy was a Strategic Technology Manager for NTL: and has also worked for NDS and Irdeto in digital television architectures, conditional access and related technologies. Guy was the system architect for the pioneering MPEG-2 broadcast systems launched in Australia - the first DTH MPEG-2 broadcast system in the world.

Kate Hirson is the Company Secretary.

She provides administrative support, company secretarial services and keeps the company records straight. She is also responsible for contract negotiations.

Facts

BroadLynx runs the Next Wave Technologies and Markets Programme for the DTI. This collaborative research funding programme has been supporting research projects in Pervasive Computing since 2003.

Guy is currently the chair of the CM-SEC working group of DVB - the group tasked with establishing the security framework for all DVB services at a commercial level.
